Writer's Block: Church & State

Bob. :D

Should church and state always be separate? Why or why not? What should the nature of their relationship be?

I believe in strict separation of the church and the state. Not everybody even believes in the Christian religion! The Bible is a fucked up book of lies and contradictions that has been altered over the years. When shoved into politics it creates inequality and no "justice for all" like it says in the pledge. Did you know that the parts in the Bible that talk about homosexuality are from a holiness code written over 3,000 years ago? Something about Leviticus...

Ohhh here:

"Jesus and Paul both said the holiness code in Leviticus does not pertain to Christian believers. Nevertheless, there are still people who pull the two verses about men sleeping together from this ancient holiness code to say that the Bible seems to condemn homosexuality."

So there ya go! The Bible basically says NOTHING about homosexuality being a sin.

Interracial marriage? The Bible condemned that but it's apparently better than homosexuality.

Slavery? The Bible says it's okay but most people are against it.

So before you go and say "ohemgeeee!111 The Bible says lyke homosexuality is a sin so you're lyke ewww." reread the book of lies and agree wtih EVERYTHING it says and stop being hypocritical. "But... I don't like slavery and it's wrong to kill somebody just because they have sex before they're married." Really?! Then shut the hell up and get over it.

And there's also something on that site about vegetarianism. Didn't you know that Jesus was a vegetarian? It just doesn't say that in your modern day Bible.

Again, shut the fuck up. Animals were not put on the planet to eat. They're FRIENDS.

This really got off the topic of the question and turned into an attack on The Bible. Oh well.

The constitution gives you freedom of speech so I'm not doing anything wrong. They're just trying to take away your voice and make you conform to the "average" American standards.

I'm pretty sure the government fears people like me. It's sad really because I'm just trying to make the world a better place. I live by the Bible of NONE of the above and my own rules.

You know, it could be worse. I could be like bombing other countries and killing innocent civilians. I could be slaughtering the defenseless wolves just for the hell of it. I could also be shooting people and get away with it just because I'm famous/a political figure. I could be wearing dead skin for fashion even though it's completely ugly and trashy. I could be snorting coke and getting pissed out of my fucking mind in public. I could be eating flesh like a fucking cannibal. I could be running around saying Obama is the anti-christ because I don't know anything. I could be shoving people around to make them agree. I could commit a hate crime and get off easy because it was against a homosexual.

I could be doing all that just like fucking "America" is.

Just don't get me started on the whole North, Central and South America vs. The United States of America again.

"Demonizing feminism
Indoctrinated sexism
National chauvinism promotes authoritarianism
Empowered women threaten the Christian's plan
Of being an obedient dog and serving man
Like the gays, lesbians and transgendered
Roles that don't reflect Christian principal
Living your life by what the bible says
But your god is a myth and Christ is dead
Letting the bible do your thinking is so absurd
Because your malfunctioned god never wrote a word
Those who actually wrote the bible on your shelves
Were straight, bigoted men just like yourselves
Your word of god is just a front
That justifies this modern day witch-hunt
Your bigoted religion is what you trust
But your sick god doesn't govern us"
-Aus Rotten's "Modern Day Witch Hunt"

That IS the best fucking Anarcho-punk song ever. It speaks the truth.

Disclaimer/clarification:

I do not own that song or Aus Rotten and they're not even together anymore. After 2001 the members went on to form bands like Behind Enemy Lines and Caustic Christ which I listen to because they're amazing.

I don't believe in Christianity or any other religion. I think the government is a fucking joke and that Anarchy could work if everybody wasn't so fucking stubborn. Anarchists don't always burn shit down but they want to make the world/country better. It's called peace. Try it some time!

I will never take back anything I said in this entry. Feel free to disagree with what I said in a comment. I don't really give a fuck. Your voice needs to be heard just as much as mine does.

Don't bother commenting if you're only going to say that vegetarians/vegans are stupid and you hate them because that's called immaturity. You do not know ALL vegetarians and vegans. You probably don't even know me.

I think you should listen to punk rock music because it will change your view on life. My view was already changing before I even knew it existed and it just influenced me more.

I don't hate religious people and you shouldn't hate me either! Hate is a strong word. I just don't agree with a lot of what you say and you won't agree with me. Fair enough, right?

Fag means cigarette. Faggot means a bundle of sticks. Queer originally meant weird and gay originally meant happy. Through time the meanings of these words have been altered to be degrading and/or a term used to describe one's self.

Gayemofag isn't a word and IS in fact a redundancy seeing as how fag and gay mean the same thing.

One last thing: I am a female... AND! Girls [And a few guys*] rock my world. Deal with it.

THE END,
Darla!
